Dr. Check Up

Søren had his 2 year check up today. He did a great job! I am learning with Søren that preparation is key. If I tell what is about to happen, many tears and tantrums are well avoided. I failed however to prepare him for his two shots. I was scared that if I told him, he would kick and scream and the nurse wouldn't get a good poke. 2 shots later, he looked up at me with teared filled eyes that said "You didn't tell me this was going to happen." I'm sorry, buddy.

This is mainly for the grandma's who want to know their grandson's stats.
Height: 33" (25%)
Weight: 28lbs (50%)
BMI: 180 (75-85%)

So, he is short and stalky and is still holding on to his baby weight. If you've ever picked up Søren, you know he is one solid kid!

Everything else checked out great. The doctor recommended putting him in a pre-school for the fall. Maybe all the doctors suggest that at the 2 year visit, but I can't believe I need to start thinking about pre-school! I know he's ready socially, and he knows 1-10, colors, shapes and a handful of letters. But does this mean I have to actually get him potty trained? I mean, really potty trained?!

Glad your visit went well. Sage has pneumonia...I didn't hear any cries or screams. We saw Dr. B...
Happy 2 years, Soren.

What a sweet thing, "you didn't tell me this was going to happen.." Cutie! Love that picture of him!

I'm surprised about the pre-school comment by the doctor...did he/she say why? I feel like parents put kids in school earlier and earlier.
